Christmas delivery
Will it arrive before Christmas?
Yes, if you order by the date for your part of the world. Here is where those dates come from.
Our books are printed on demand: your copy is printed when you order it, at the facility closest to you, and shipped from there. That is why delivery takes longer than a warehouse order, and why December is tighter than the rest of the year. Printers and carriers both run at capacity over the holidays, so orders placed in December take a few days longer to arrive.
So that nobody has to guess, these are the dates we recommend. They are based on how long orders to each region have actually taken to reach the door, not on carrier promises.
| Where you are | Order by |
|---|---|
| 🇺🇸United States | December 4 |
| 🇪🇺Europe, Switzerland and Norway | December 3 |
| 🇬🇧United Kingdom | December 4 |
| 🇦🇺Australia | December 1 |
| 🇨🇦Canada | December 5 |
| 🌎Japan, UAE, New Zealand, Latin America and other distant destinations | November 1 |
Distant destinations are so much earlier because the parcel travels further and clears customs on the way: deliveries there have taken between three and eight weeks, so the date allows for the slowest one we have seen.
These are recommendations, not guarantees: the final date depends on the carrier and on customs, and neither is ours to promise. Ordering after these dates is perfectly fine, your books will simply arrive after Christmas.
Shipping is free on orders over €49. For the full list of countries we ship to, costs, customs and returns, see our shipping policy.
