You should be able to read 한글 (the Korean alphabet) before you begin: the phrases are written in Korean script throughout. Beyond that, no prior vocabulary or grammar knowledge is required. If you cannot yet read 한글, spend a week or two on the alphabet first and you will be ready to start on Day 1.
